After you've joined, please post your basic character sheet here. (There is a template in case you get stuck.) A staff member or myself will either accept or deny your audition; should it be the former, the post will me moved to the 'Character Profiles' board.

Gatewater Town

This small town, set near the ocean, is where most young trainers get their start. There is a lab here, surrounded by sandy terrain and palm trees, and its doors are always open to those who are ready for an adventure...

Route One

Route one is a long walk, gently curving along the beach east of Gatewater. As it curves further inland, the ground becomes more grassy and a dense forest can be seen on the horizon. This is a wonderful route on which to train weak pokemon, or just to relax...

Hawksboro
(1 sub-board)

Hawksboro is a fair-sized town located at the end of route one. They have both a pokecenter and pokemart, and it's a good place to rest and replenish supplies. You can spend the night at a hotel, if you like, and there are plenty of trainers with whom to trade or battle.

Route Two

Route two leads from Hawksboro to Seacrest Port. Though this route is much shorter than route one, it is basically the same terrain--leading from a grassland-like plain back to the beach.

Seacrest Port

Much more developed than Gatewater, Seacrest has pavement covering much of the sand that would constitue a 'beach'. Rather, boardwalks extend into the ocean--a wonderful place to fish--and much of the water is filled with ships. Ferries arrive to cart people to the 'Elite Four', located on an island in the middle of the ocean; freighters come to unload supplies; trade ships come with rare and exotic pokemon...
In all, Seacrest is a very busy place. The first gym is also located here, housing the world-famous Takuya, "man of steel". He specializes in the fighting-type and isn't one to be messed with.

Route 3

Route three leads the traveler away from the crowded Seacrest Port and into the large forest that takes up much of the center of the region. It is named 'the forest of the dead' due to the large number of ghost-type pokemon that can be found here.
Few pokemon live in the plains around the forest; only the occasional weedle can be found foraging for food.
Fear not, however--the ghosts don't hurt people.

Usually.

Rootfeather City

Located in a clearing just inside the 'forest of the dead', Rootfeather city is a large cluster of houses built right into the trees themselves, connected by long and seemingly unstable rope bridges. It is not unlike Fortree in this aspect, though it is a great deal higher off the ground; the average building is generally about half a mile up one of the immensely tall trees. Almost everyone in this city owns at least one bird-type pokemon--the gym in this town, however, specializes in ground-type pokemon.
Miss Ava's battle strategies are incredible, though, and her cubone can leap from tree to tree as though he had wings.

Route 4
(1 sub-board)

Route four is a very long and winding path that leads straigh into the heart of the forest of ghosts. There are almost no pokemon here, save for the stray haunter, and the trip can get a little eerie. Visit the lake while yoiu're there and maybe you'll see the famed Suicune...

Burog Mining Town

As you finally reach the outskirts of the massive forest, you come upon a smallish mining town buried in the base of a deep valley. The houses are made of stone and the people are very defensive, as though afraid of outsiders...
They have to cut down the ancient trees of the forest in order to dig for minerals, and many activists have come to their town with complaints... and have never returned.

However odd the town, any pokemon trainer must pass through it, for this town owns the rights to the bridge across the roaring Lythii river--which is the only way to reach the third gym leader on the other side. There are some good battles to be found here, if you can befriend the locals...

Lythii River

The Lythii river, guarded by the people of the mining town of Burog, is a wide and very fast moving river, with many waterfalls and rapids.
It floods often, and the rickety rope-and-plank bridge is often slippery and covered with moss.
The passing is very dangerous, and it is advised to go across one at a time.

Pearlwater Village

Pearlwater village is known for its massive, crystal clear lake from which shellders and cloysters are caught and farmed for their gorgeous pearls. The people here are a peaceful lot, much unlike the inhabitants of Burog's mining settlement; in fact, they often send complaints as dirt and debris from the aforementioned town often float down and dirty their shellder farms.

The third gym rrests here, one of water Pokemon. Crystal and her Milotic make a beautiful and extremely coordinated team--it'll take more than just power to beat this one.

Route 5

Route five is nothing more than a thin stretch of wooden planks, set into the marshy terrain of this route. Feel free to step off the path, but be warned: You will get wet. Seemingly solid ground is really nothing more than muddy water with reeds floating atop it, and the water here can be deep...
Many different sorts of water and ground pokemon can be found here, most of them very playful. More than once, and unwary traveler has been knocked from the path by a roudy Wooper.

Ashfire City

Ashfire city is built upon the base of a still-active volcano, where the ground meets the swamps of route five. It constantly smells of sulfur and murky water, and isn't the most pleasant place to spend your time.
They have hot springs, however, which are said to heal you pokemon, and sometimes raise them a level or two.
Ashfire city also contains the fourth gym, which specializes in fire-types. Steve, the leader, has a very confusing way of battling, so don't go looking for a strategy. He and his Charmeleon are good friends, and a force to be reckoned with--stay out of the way of the latter's flamethrower attack. It almost always leaves one's pokemon burned.

Route 6

Route 6 leads the traveler away from Ashfire and its volcanoes and towards the more lively forests below. Much of this route is set on barren lava flows, a few of them still hot--watch your step. Geysers are common here, too; be wary on your journey down this route.
The pokemon here are mainly fire- and ground-types, with the occasional dark or poison pokemon thrown in.

Naroom: The great forest

The lava flows of route six end as abrubtly as the forest starts.
Naroom is a very large and tropical forest, with dense undergrowth that makes the passing difficult. A great variety of Pokemon can be found here; at least one from every type. Some are weak, while others are immensely strong--be on your guard.
There are a good deal of 'natives', some friends, some foes...
Many are always up for a battle, while others will offer to guide you through their forest.

Plains of Rhukim

The Plains of Rhukim stretch for further than the eye can see, easily the size of Naroom. The Plains are comprised mainly of tall grasses, some so high not even the head of a full-grown Steelix can see over them. This region of the plains is said to be inhabited by giants, and rumors of abnormally large raticates are common in the local villages. None have ever been seen, of course.

The City of Mante
(1 sub-board)

The city of Mante is located on the coast, many miles from any other town. They own a huge power plany, powered by the Lythii river as it thunders into the ocean below.
The fifth gym can be found here, and the eccentric leader, Larry, specializes in electric-type Pokemon.
A ferry service can also be found here, renting pokemon to those trainers whose pokemon are unable to carry them the next leg of the route--into the ocean.

Ymenjii Island

Sea Route 2

Sea route two leads the traveler away from Ymenjii Island and towards the archipelago known as 'Wingull Isles'. This water is much colder than that of the first sea route, and many ice-and-water pokemon frequent these waters.

The Wingull Isles
(1 sub-board)

The Wingull Isles, as their name implies, are a common nesting ground for the pokemon, and flocks of them can always be seen in the sky. When there are no birds in the sky, the people of the isles get worried--this usually means something horrible is about to happen.
Both the seventh and eighth gyms are here, one on the main island and another on a smaller, more secluded one.
The seventh specializes in ghost types, and the eighth in steel.

Take a wild guess.

Because this isn't really in a specific town, and not a place where any old trainer can stop and visit, I've put it in the 'Other' section. Should you want to just randomly waltz up to it, though, feel free (so long as your character isn't somewhere else already), but you'll probably be attacked and/or mauled by the vicious guard-pokemon.
